where young children (12 mths - 3 yrs) can
play safely, have fun with other children

A group dedicated to helping the 17-30’s
age group grow internally in faith whilst
expanding externally by sharing Jesus with
those they know.

If the sun is setting, it means the
party is just getting started!
Prime time is a very active group of retirees
who meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month.
Reaching out to and building relationships
between people in their 60’s and beyond,
prime time seeks to provide a context of
activities for elderly people both Christian
and non-Christian that proclaims an unchanging
gospel in a rapidly changing world.
As time passes by, do you feel you are getting
older, or getting younger? Our Prime Time
group would certainly suggest the latter!
Catering for the over 60s within the community,
the Prime Time group offers monthly meetings,
guest speakers and regular outings. A great
way to meet new people and experience the
fun you can have in your twilight years,
Prime Time ensures that the life of the
senior is lived to the full!
Prime Time is open to and welcomes all seniors
aged 60 years and above.

Connecting guys to be accountable, encouraged,
challenged to live a God honouring life,
and be effective leaders and role models
to their families and work colleagues. It
is also about providing outreach activities
to help us invite guys who wouldn’t
normally come into the church.
Men’s ministry is
a great opportunity to encourage men to
grow healthy relationships and provide godly
leadership at home, with other men, at work
and at church. Below are some of the possibilities
for a men’s ministry. If you are interested
in having a part to play in men’s
ministry see Rod or Scott.

Bi-monthly activities to help women network
with one another, build friendships, share
needs and care for one another. For women
16yrs and over.
Women’s ministry functions much the
same way as men’s ministry where women
of all ages are encouraged to come into
and continue in a personal & growing
relationship with Jesus. It does this by
encouraging women in their faith and by
reaching out to unsaved women with the gospel
through relevant, creative & non-threatening
social activities.

Home groups are a wonderful opportunity
for helping people connect with God and
each other, build friendships and discover
how to really flourish in life through God’s
word. Meeting in local homes, these groups
are a great source of encouragement, friendship
and practical bible discovery.
Home groups enable greater intimacy and
participation than Sunday services, they
provide a place where truth meets life and
most importantly they form a critical link
in spiritually transforming lives and helping
people put into practice God’s purposes
for their lives.

Active relationships built through active
lives.
Ever thought Hewitt’s backhand
could use some work? Do you think that Thorpe
could improve his technique? Does “armchair
aerobics instructor” fit your job
description? If so, then it’s time
to switch off the idiot box and get out
there!
Georges River Community Baptist Church offers
a number of Life Groups, each aiming to
encourage healthy lifestyles within healthy
relationships. Join a Life Group today to
do what you love, and meet new people in
the process!
Our Life Groups are all about enlarging
and enhancing people’s life experiences.
Life Groups allow people to build friendships
with other people who share a similar interest.
Activities can include hobbies, sports,
pastimes, seminars etc. Some groups run
for a short time while others run throughout
the year on a weekly or fortnightly basis,
at a nominal cost, and all ages are welcome
